September 5, 2007 Overbrook Athletic Association Meeting at the Kansas State Bank Basement

Call to order 7:00 PM

In Attendance: Jason Hielscher, Johnna Simmons, Jim Koger, Sarah Graham, Kristine Meier, Mike Blood, Jon Brady, Craig Meier, Kim Rogers.

Treasurer Report: We had one remaining Coca Cola bill. We paid Stephanie’s 10% bonus, amounting to $159.74, out of the concessions fund. Arthur’s gift card and the $200 for purchasing the grill for the grill raffle will come out of the general fund. The money for the grill will be reimbursed in the near future as the donations are collected.

President’s Report: We have collected ball equipment from a couple of coaches, Watkins and Florance. We need to talk to Mike Blood about the balloon launcher receipts.

Soccer

Much of the meeting was devoted to finalizing the details for the upcoming soccer season and to setting the soccer schedule. It was agreed that we would meet on Saturday, September 8, at 9AM to set up the soccer fields. The tournament seeding will be done on winning percentage, as some leagues will have teams with a second bye. We still needed three coaches- Johnna will coach a 6,7,8 team and Kris Downs will coach a K-1 team. We will continue to work to find a coach for the remaining 6,7,8 team. We addressed a couple of recent signups and then set the scheduling grid. Jim was to make copies and deliver to coaches. We will need to get shirts delivered before the first game.

We discussed Referees with the Lyndon director, Kim Rogers, and they will provide the Referees for the majority of the games, we will find additional when necessary, the cost will be split with them getting $10 per home game and $15 per road contest.

We will meet again Wednesday October 3rd at 7PM in the Kansas State Bank Basement.
