02/01/08 Long-time Overbrook City Clerk, Cheryl Brown, passed away following a stroke

02/06/08 Overbrook and our community lost a great friend and person when City Clerk Cheryl Brown passed away following a stroke.  
02/06/08 Funeral services were at 10AM on Wednesday, February 6th at the Overbrook Bible Church, followed by interment in Valley Brook Cemetery.  
02/06/08 Visitation was Tuesday evening from 6-8PM at the Overbrook Bible Church.  Memorial contributions are asked to be made to the Overbrook Bible Church Building Fund or the AWANA Kids Program and may be sent to: Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home, Box 268, Overbrook Kansas 66524.  
02/06/08 Cheryl did a tremendous job for our town for the past twenty years and will be greatly missed.  
02/06/08 City Clerk Cheryl Brown was buried today, Overbrook City Hall closed at 9AM in her honor.

09/13/08 The Demo Derby scheduled for September 13th was cancelled due to inclement weather.  The Derby has been rescheduled for October 11th at 3PM.
